I have attended the Nuit du Metal brought to us by la Boîte en Metal, which took place in Valence’s theater on march 21th 2026. If some expected Metal, it was actually more of a  Stoner night: Monkey3 (Switzerland), Mars Red Sky (Bordeaux) and finally the merge of the two, the superband Monkeys on Mars.

As for the members, in Monkey3 there’s Boris (guitar), Jalil (bass), Walter (drums), and last but not least, the very charismatic dB (keys). Mars Red Sky is composed of Julien Pras (voice, guitar), Jimmy Kinast (voice, bass) and Mathieu Gazeau (drums and backup vocals).

Aerial melodies, big guitars and futuristic animations, combined with a gorgeous frame.. this was no ordinary experiment.
