Svinkels… déclenche des tornades comme Twister!

Le Svink is an alternative hip-hop band formé formed since 1994 by Gérard Baste, Nikus Pokus and Xanax,  DJ Pone joined them in 2001 (three times DMC champion!).

If some people only know them for having « Réveillé le punk » in them, Svinkels is a lot more than that… They alternate comical and more serious songs adressing themes such as  addictions or racism, lyrics smartly arranged with smart play on words, and that’s the real strength of Svinkels!

The band broke up in 2009 after Gérard Baste’s health problems and some arguments between the members.. It reformed in 2018 and a new album was released in 2021.

Nikus Pokus died abruptly in 2024, lthe three remaining members decided to make a tribute tour along with friends (TTC, Triptik, Deadi, Toshi et San Nom). The last venue was in Bataclan le January the 31th of 2026 (the pictures were taken at that occasion).

But le Svink is not dead, they issued the single « Pour Toujours » the same day as the last venue, and after that, more tour dates were announced.
